Diane Zack Buchanan is of counsel to Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky and works primarily from our Beaver County office. Ms. Buchanan has experience in general litigation, personal injury, business formation and services, contracts, oil and gas leases, construction related claims and property matters.

She holds a nursing degree and had 20 years experience in critical care nursing and hospital administration before becoming a lawyer. Her medical knowledge benefits her clients in personal injury cases.

Ms. Buchanan also has municipal law experience. She has represented Beaver County as assistant solicitor and has served townships, zoning hearing boards and municipal authorities as solicitor. As a municipal solicitor, Ms. Buchanan has handled cases involving real property; zoning and planning; contracts; civil litigation; employment and labor law; taxation and administrative law. She deals with Federal Aviation Administration regulatory issues and general aviation matters as the current solicitor for the Beaver County Airport Authority.

Ms. Buchanan has extensive experience in family law and has represented men and women in separation, divorce, custody, child and spousal support, protection for abuse, prenuptial and marriage settlement agreements, enforcement and equitable distribution.

Ms. Buchanan is co-owner with her husband, Jim Buchanan of Buchanan Evergreen Farms, a wholesale and retail nursery business in Beaver County. She is the mother of three children: Erin, James and Lindsay.
