Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky‘s Of Counsel, H. Yale Gutnick, has a national practice — he has been admitted to 24 federal courts as well as the courts of nine states and the District of Columbia. Mr. Gutnick is best known for his work in complex civil and criminal litigation and in media and entertainment law. He often handles high-profile cases in which he manages the client’s communications with the news media.
Mr. Gutnick began his legal career with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was a trial and appellate lawyer from 1967 through 1969. Mr. Gutnick entered private practice in 1969, when he joined Rose, Schmidt and Dixon in Pittsburgh. He became a partner at that firm in 1974. In 1978, he became a partner at Strassburger & McKenna, the predecessor of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky.
Mr. Gutnick serves on the board of directors of eight companies.
