Lydia A. Gorba is an Associate Attorney at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. Ms. Gorba works primarily in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, municipal law, and education law.
Ms. Gorba started her legal career at SMGG in the summer of 2016 as a Law Clerk. After proving instrumental in the many matters she assisted with, Ms. Gorba was asked to join the firm as an Associate after graduation. While at SMGG, Ms. Gorba has had exposure to a variety of practice areas, with an increased emphasis in the areas of litigation and municipal law.
Ms. Gorba graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May 2017, cum laude. While there, she served as a Research Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. In addition, Ms. Gorba was inducted into the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the Order of the Coif honor society, an honor bestowed upon those graduating in the top 10% of the class.
For her undergraduate studies, Ms. Gorba attended Juniata College from which she graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Psychology.
Ms. Gorba is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Gorba enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her two cats, Kevin and Nino, and her dog, Dolly.
Ms. Gorba grew up in Portage, PA and currently resides in the Lawrenceville area of the City of Pittsburgh.
