Biography

Michael P. Gaetani is a senior associate with Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky and concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation.  He takes a holistic approach to representing his clients, drawing on his practical experience working with clients of all sizes as well as his educational background and government experience to provide comprehensive, thoughtful, and efficient legal services.

Mr. Gaetani has represented companies large and small, as well as individuals, with commercial disputes including breach of contract, property damage, insurance coverage, construction, and unfair competition.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gaetani practiced as a commercial litigator with two AmLaw 100 firms in the Pittsburgh area, with a particular focus on the energy industry.  He also practiced with a boutique litigation firm in Westmoreland County, representing individuals and small businesses in a wide range of disputes.  He is skilled at all stages of litigation, including advising clients through the e-discovery process.  In addition to his practical experience, Mr. Gaetani completed an internship in the United States Senate and holds a certificate in international and comparative law.  He draws on this varied experience to tailor his advice to suit the client’s particular needs, goals, and resources.  He understands the big picture and how developments at the local, state, national and international levels may impact his clients and their objectives.

Mr. Gaetani is committed to serving his community through pro bono and volunteer work.  He is especially proud of his nearly two decade affiliation – as a board member, volunteer, and student – with the State YMCA of Pennsylvania, which administers the Youth & Government Program for high school students across the Commonwealth.  Well respected in the legal community, he has been selected by his peers as a Pennsylvania SuperLawyers Rising Star from 2016-18, and has been elected as an officer with the ACBA.  His good relationships among his fellow attorneys help him resolve disputes more efficiently for his clients.

Outside of his professional and civic pursuits, Mr. Gaetani enjoys traveling and some of his favorite destinations include Europe, Washington D.C., and New England, where he spent summers growing up.  A native of Harrisburg, Mr. Gaetani now resides in Wexford with his young daughter, Madison, who helps keep his energy levels high and his negotiation and problem solving skills sharp.
