Samantha J. Gagliardo is an Associate Attorney at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. She works primarily in the area of estates and trusts, but she also works closely with the business services, public and non-profit, and business services groups.
Ms. Gagliardo graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in May 2017. Upon graduation, she received the David R. Bookstaver Award, which is given to the graduating student who demonstrates the highest achievement in the areas of estates and trusts, estate planning, and estate and gift tax.
Ms. Gagliardo solidified her interest in the area of estates and trusts through Pitt’s Elder Law Clinic. As a certified legal intern, she was able to assist clients in need with estate planning, guardianships, and Medicaid planning. Her favorite part about the clinic, and this area of law, was the direct relationship that she had with each of her clients.
Outside of the classroom Ms. Gagliardo was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, where she served as Co-Senior Topics Editor. In that capacity, Ms. Gagliardo oversaw Pitt Law’s annual Write-On Competition. Her article, No “E”-asy Way Out: Why the FDA Should Not Regulate E-Cigarettes under the Current TCA Framework, even with New Deeming Regulations, was selected for publication in Volume 79.
In her spare time, Ms. Gagliardo enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on Pittsburgh sports, and traveling. A New Castle, PA native, she now resides in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
