The Pittsburgh Business Times’ Family Business Award honors Pittsburgh region businesses that are long-running, multi-generational family businesses.
Strassburger McKenna began almost 100 years ago, in 1919, when Eugene B. Strassburger and J. Frank McKenna began practicing law together. Four generations later, the Strassburger line is still actively practicing with the firm. E.J. Strassburger is third generation and Jordan Lee Strassburger and David A. Strassburger (a member current of the firm’s executive committee) are 4th generation. The Gutnick line began in 1980 when H. Yale Gutnick became a shareholder at the firm. Yale’s daughter, Laura Beth Gutnick has been a shareholder in the firm for ten years.
“Our firm is built on a strong foundation of attorneys who vigorously represent our clients, mentor other attorneys and volunteer in their communities. As we near our 100th year, SMGG is positioned to grow and support the ever-changing needs of our clients, and is honored to be selected for this award,” said SMGG President, Alan Shuckrow.
